November 25, 2021 The French prosecutor investigating the sinking of a boat in the English Channel yesterday announced that among the dead people there are seven women, one of whom is pregnant, three minors and 17 men.

Investigations are underway to verify potential allegations of murder, unintentional injury, illegal migration assistance and criminal conspiracy, the prosecutor's office said.

About thirty migrants died in the shipwreck.

Meanwhile, after the massacre, the French government has announced the convening of a meeting between the ministers of the interior of Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, and with the European Commission, to jointly evaluate how to strengthen migration control.
