A four-day program of world-class events and immersive Emirati experiences will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the UAE, in an impressive manner, in which the country celebrates its golden jubilee, in a spirit full of renewed optimism for the next half century.

The celebrations, which are held across the Expo 2020 Dubai site, will take place from the 1st to the 4th of December, and take each international event visitor on a journey of authentic Emirati experiences and stories, and will include world-class ceremonies, exceptional musical performances, meaningful conversations between different cultures, and performances Performance and other interactive cultural whiff.

And according to what His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State announced, that 2021 is the “fiftieth year” in the UAE, these days are an opportunity to reflect on the successful march of the “first dreamers”, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the UAE in In 1971, the country looked forward to the next 50 years, with the same bold ambition. The highlights of Expo 2020 Dubai include the celebration of the UAE National Day, which is celebrated annually to commemorate December 2, 1971, the anniversary of the union of the seven Emirates and the announcement of the establishment of the United Arab Emirates, as a result of the efforts of the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul, who made the effort to unite the Emirates.

From 10:15 am UAE time on the second Thursday of December, visitors will be invited to attend the official ceremonies of the UAE National Day celebrations at “Expo 2020 Dubai” held in Al Wasl Square, which include a flag raising ceremony, speeches by high-ranking officials, and a presentation Musically for the national anthem from a children’s choir performance, in addition to a segment of the art of “Al-Azi” performed by Al-Wasmi, in addition to a horse show presented by Dubai Police Knights, and another performance by the Musical Performances Ensemble of the Ministry of Interior, as part of the “Colors of the World” show, which will be presented between the hour 12:45 noon and 13:15 UAE time.

The performance of "Al-Azi" art, in which an Arab poet leads a choir that responds to his "call", will be presented at 13:00 UAE time in Al Wasl Square, as part of a completely original celebration of pride in the traditional Arab values ​​of unity, solidarity and courage.

This will be followed by an air show by Dubai Police, as well as a 30-minute musical performance by Emirati singer Fatima Zahrat Al-Ain, and an impressive aerial show by the "Al Fursan" aerobatic team from the UAE Armed Forces.

Visitors are also invited to come to the Jubilee Platform and the Dubai Millennium Theater at the Expo 2020 site, in order to watch a live broadcast of the official celebration of the UAE National Day, transmitted from the Hatta region, starting at 17:30 UAE time.

Meanwhile, the Dubai Millennium Theater will host the ‘Khait Journey’, a live show of Emirati handicrafts that delves into the heart of Emirati culture, followed by an unmissable fireworks show at 20:00, and a concert by Emirati pop star Idah Al Menhali on the Jubilee Stage. From 20:30.

The immersive theatrical show, which will be presented in Al Wasl Square entitled “The Journey of Fifty Years”, will be the jewel in the crown of the “Expo 2020” celebrations of the National Day, which is scheduled to be shown from 1 to 4 December, as this show will exceed the limits of what is possible in the Arena Al Wasl, to present a mixture of the amazing possibilities of human performance, theatrical performance and enormous potential in a scene that has never been seen before anywhere, with the participation of more than 200 performers from the countries participating in “Expo 2020 Dubai”.

The Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai: "Because we are not a country in the world, but the world is in a country."

Next December will be filled with unmissable Emirati events, exciting destinations, and performances celebrating the UAE's golden jubilee, starting with the art of Arabic calligraphy and passing through diving in search of pearls and the Bedouin lifestyle, and ending with the story of Dubai, and gowns, to camel milk cafes, and others.
