She said this during a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordination Council under the government to combat COVID-19.

The head of Rospotrebnadzor noted that as a result of restrictive measures, there are more free beds, and the number of detected cases of coronavirus is decreasing.

She noted that in some regions "as soon as the decline begins, certain restrictive measures are immediately canceled."

“I believe that today it is categorically early to do this,” Popova said.

She recalled that the current indicator in the country is 25 cases of coronavirus per 100 thousand population per day, while the threshold level is defined as 7 cases per 100 thousand population per day.

"Consequently, until we reach a reduction to the threshold level, no significant changes in those restrictive measures can be undertaken," said the head of Rospotrebnadzor.

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said earlier that almost 5 billion rubles were additionally allocated for drugs for patients with COVID-19.
