Food, fuel, many raw materials, everything is increasing dramatically, not to mention the difficulties of supply, and a cost of electricity never seen in the past.
This explains why throughout Spain there is discontent.
This anger, many understand it, like José Ramon, baker:
“
It's more than understandable.
If we increase your production costs, transport costs, materials, raw materials, and this does not affect your salary, then we are lowering our standard of living!
"
The government says it's a bad patch, and that the 70 billion euros in European funds, about to arrive, will help end the crisis and mitigate the effects of inflation.
It is also the analysis of Cristina, economist: “
I believe that this dissatisfaction is due to the fact that there have been a lot of expectations, or that things are going too slowly, in the eyes of certain sectors.
But I think it's not that bad.
A Spanish saying: "horse start, donkey stop", which means that in the end it is not so serious.
"
For now, the tension is palpable.
With inflation over 5%, retirees also say their purchasing power is falling.
We will know in the days and weeks to come what will be the social discontent.
