Deputy Prime Minister of Moldova Spinu spoke about the situation with gas supplies

According to him, a meeting of the Supervisory Board of Moldovagaz was held the day before.

The only topic of the meeting was debts for gas supplies.

“After the council meeting, Moldovagaz received a notification about the need to repay the debt within 48 hours.

At the moment, this debt is $ 74,278,446.91 ... So far, Moldovagaz has not found a commercial solution to pay off the current debt, "he said.

In this regard, according to Spinu, the government is discussing the issues of determining solutions and guaranteeing the delivery of gas to citizens of Moldova.

Earlier, Gazprom informed Moldova that it would stop gas supplies in 48 hours due to the failure of the Moldovan side to fulfill its contractual obligations.

According to the agreements concluded earlier, Moldova must pay 100% of the payments on time, this point was not complied with on November 22. 

The head of Moldovagaz, Vadim Cheban, then said that the company had received a notification from Gazprom and was working on the problem of non-payment.
