Representatives from the Stockholm-based wind power company Statkraft attended the municipal council meeting in Västervik today.

And they are very disappointed with the municipality's changed decision.

- It is very unfortunate and extremely late, we have invested nine million kroner and are considering whether it is even legal for the municipality to make a decision so extremely late, says Charlotte Andersson, environmental manager at the wind power company Stakraft.

Cost 9 million

For eight years, the company has worked with the plans for 26 wind turbines in southern Västervik municipality.

How much has it cost you to run this project until now?

- Approximately nine million in project management and permit processes.

It is a very well investigated, she says.

The company is now considering appealing the City Council's decision.
