- Task Force Takuba's base in Ménaka in Mali was subjected to a grenade attack on Monday morning.

This is the base where the Swedish contribution to the special forces force is located, Marie Tisäter, spokesperson for the Armed Forces, explains to SVT Nyheter.

About 150 Swedes are stationed in Menáka within the multinational special forces force Task Force Takuba, which is currently under Swedish command.

The base includes both UN units belonging to Minusma, Malian forces and the French counter-terrorism operation Operation Barkhane, which includes Task Force Takuba.

- No Swede was injured in the attack.

I have information that a person from another nation is easily injured, says Tisäter.

She goes on to say that measures have been taken to secure the area around the base, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the attack.
