After SVT Gävleborg noticed that the entrepreneur had been elected to Ljusdal's municipal council as a replacement for the Sweden Democrats, Roger Hedlund (SD), chairman of the Sweden Democrats in Gävleborg, replied that the entrepreneur never represented the party at any meeting and intended to step down.

Different versions

But when SVT's reporter spoke to the entrepreneur himself, in mid-October, it was uncertain whether he would continue his assignment or not.

At the end of October, the entrepreneur still announces his resignation - just two months after the entrepreneur has been elected.

- The electoral system works like this.

If you stand on the ballot paper, you will automatically be elected when someone steps down from their assignment.

XX was on the ballot in 2018 but has lacked an active role in the party and that attitude from XX was valid even now when she was next in line on the ballot, Roger Hedlund now writes to SVT Gävleborg.

"No active role"

He further writes that the entrepreneur has stepped down from his assignment and that it has nothing to do with the media reporting.

- It's an attitude XX has had for a long time.

We do not see that XX has actively represented the party, writes Roger Hedlund.

At the City Council meeting on 22 November, the entrepreneur's resignation will be discussed.
