Paris-Normandie

.

Warned in turn, the Maritime Medical Coordination Samu (SCMM) decides, in consultation with the CROSS Griz-Nez and the diving vessel, to proceed with a medical evacuation of the victim.

The Civil Security Dragon 76 helicopter, based in Le Havre, was mobilized to rescue the diver, whose age is unknown.

The victim transported to a hospital in Île-de-France

The accident victim was helicoptered to Garches hospital, located in Hauts-de-Seine.

The establishment is equipped with a hyperbaric chamber, which is not the case in Norman hospitals.

This device makes it possible to take care of patients who are victims of diving accidents or carbon monoxide poisoning, for example.

To be treated, they are exposed to a pressure higher than atmospheric pressure and receive a therapeutic gas in high concentration.
