Diblo Dibala is a guitarist, songwriter and composer. He became known to the Congolese public from Paris where he settled since 1981. He contributed to the success of the album "Iyole" recorded with Kanda Bongo Man, his former colleague in the Bella Mambo orchestra of Kinshasa. Before joining Paris, he played in Franco Luambo's Omnipotent OK Jazz orchestra. In Paris, Diblo also played with another great representative of the soukous, Pepe Kalle. In the mid-1980s, he founded the group Loketo with singer Aurlus Mabele. But a few years later, he chose to leave for new adventures and formed Matchatcha, a group that accompanies him until today. In 1992, he collaborated with the Dominican artist, Juan Luis Guerra. Together, they notably recorded the hit song El costo de la vida,a merengue-soukous, then part of the Fogaraté album.
