A few hours after her wedding, a bride died in the hands of her groom in a village in Minya Governorate in southern Egypt, while another wedding turned into a real tragedy when the car carrying the newlyweds overturned in a canal in a village in the Sharkia Governorate in the north of the country.

The father of the Minya bride told local media that he was afraid of the wedding of his 20-year-old daughter Nadia, adding that she did not suffer from any diseases.

However, it turned out later that the bride had a heart attack minutes after the happy wedding ceremony ended and she entered the marital home, where she did not stay more than half an hour after a 3-year engagement from her lover, as she felt unwell and fell into the arms of her groom and asked him to call her father, but she died after Few minutes of the call.

Minutes passed before the shocking news reached the bride's family's house and cries rose, and her father rushed to her husband's house to find her lying on the ground dead, still in adornment of joy.

Buried in a wedding dress

According to local media, "the father insisted that the girl be buried in her wedding dress."

The father of the bride said, “heartbroken” in local statements, that Nadia on the night of the henna (the night before the wedding ceremony) was happy and everyone danced with joy, but the strange thing was that she was in a hurry to the wedding and finish decorating it.

He added, "My daughter Nadia was carrying the Book of God and keeping the prayers. I cannot comprehend what happened, but all I have is prayers," expressing the state of collapse experienced by her sisters since that sudden departure.

Wedding turns into a funeral

Nadia's death coincided with another incident in Al Sharqiya, where the car was carrying the newlyweds, the sister and uncle of the groom, from the beauty salon to the wedding hall when it suddenly overturned in a canal on the road.

The groom's sister (16 years) and uncle (37 years) died on the spot, while the newlyweds, Wajdi Mamoun (22 years) and Mona Muhammad (18 years) sustained bruises and cuts in different parts of the body.

Hours after the accident, the bride died of her injuries, while her groom was transferred to the intensive care unit after his condition worsened greatly.
