China News Service, Kunming, November 21 (Chen Jing) The reporter learned from the Fuwai Cardiovascular Hospital of Yunnan Province (hereinafter referred to as Fuwai Hospital of Yunnan Province) on the 20th that since March 2017, the screening and screening of children with congenital heart disease in Yunnan Province has been launched. Since the registration of chronic cardiovascular diseases, the hospital has assisted more than 5,000 poor children with congenital heart disease for free.

The incidence of congenital heart disease in China is about 7%, and the incidence of congenital heart disease in children in Yunnan Province is about 10%. Among these cases, about 45% of children’s families are in very poor areas.

Due to economic constraints, some children miss the best treatment period or lose the opportunity for treatment because they cannot raise the cost of surgery, resulting in permanent disability or even loss of life.

On the afternoon of November 19th, 27 poor children with congenital heart disease from Dali came to Fuwai Hospital in Yunnan Province, where they will receive free treatment for congenital heart disease.

Shi Jinyang, vice president of Yunnan Fuwai Hospital and head of the hospital’s business fund, introduced that with the support of departments at all levels, the hospital and the Li Jiajie Cherish Life Fund have cooperated to carry out the relief project for poor children with congenital heart disease in Yunnan Province. The children are provided with medical assistance, so that the children can basically be treated for free in the hospital.

In the health center, the cumulative number of auscultation has exceeded 4 million.

Beginning in 2018, Fuwai Hospital in Yunnan Province has actively served the national “One Belt One Road” initiative, and has signed cooperation agreements with Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc., and conducted academic exchanges and technology exports.

It has screened more than 50,000 children in neighboring countries such as Cambodia and Myanmar, treated 88 children from Cambodia and Myanmar for free, trained 18 foreign training doctors, and brought Fuwai high-quality medical resources to the places where they are most needed.

In order to allow children with congenital heart disease to be treated more efficiently, under the overall arrangement of Hu Shengshou, the president of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and the general director of Fuwai Hospital in Yunnan Province, the high-quality medical resources in Fuwai, Beijing and Kunming were fully mobilized for children with congenital heart disease. They are treated.

Among them, Pan Xiangbin, Executive Dean of Fuwai Hospital in Yunnan Province, pioneered the full ultrasound-guided transcatheter interventional treatment of congenital heart disease, which not only protects doctors and patients from radiation damage, but also does not require expensive large-scale imaging equipment, which significantly reduces dependence on medical resources. A total of 9 internationally pioneered technologies have been obtained to achieve coverage of common congenital heart diseases.

At the same time, the hospital established an integrated congenital heart disease treatment model of "prenatal diagnosis, intrauterine intervention, and postpartum treatment". A total of 4929 pregnant women were examined for fetal heart disease, and 2166 fetuses with congenital heart disease were screened and incorporated into the integrated management model.

Secondly, the combination of imaging technology, surgical operation and interventional technology has established a multidisciplinary joint treatment system, which has increased the success rate of the treatment of complex severe congenital heart disease, reached the international advanced level, and achieved "complex severe congenital heart disease without any province."

In addition, a new model of charity assistance including past patients, philanthropists and enterprises has been established. Through the “heart-to-heart” approach, a total of more than 67.04 million yuan has been raised in charity funds.

Since March 2017, with the support of medical insurance policies and the help of many charitable organizations, Fuwai Hospital in Yunnan Province has completed the treatment of more than 5,000 children with children, giving countless families a new life.

"Fuwai Hospital of Yunnan Province earnestly implements the Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Government, and the Yunnan Provincial Health and Health Commission on achieving the province's goal of'organized screening for children with congenital heart disease, planned intervention, and no treatment out of the province', and helps congenital heart disease. Children receive early detection, early diagnosis and timely treatment." Guo Tao, member of the Party Committee and Executive Director of the Internal Medicine Management Committee of Fuwai Hospital, Yunnan Province, introduced that at present, the rescue work for poor children with congenital heart disease is being carried out in an orderly manner, and the hospital will continue to adhere to it for a long time. This relief project, which benefits poor families and benefits children of ethnic minorities, strives to solve the most immediate and practical problems of the people.
