Al Kaabi attended the "Te Arateni" Festival of Indigenous and Tribal Peoples Ideas, which was organized in partnership with the New Zealand government as part of the activities of the Week of Tolerance and Coexistence at Expo 2020 Dubai, during which she met Nanaya Mahuta, Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand, who visited the UAE pavilion at the Expo.


She referred to the declaration of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, that 2019 in the UAE will be the Year of Tolerance, which focused on deepening the values ​​of tolerance and openness to cultures and peoples in society by focusing on these values ​​among the new generations, and consolidating the position of the UAE as a global capital Tolerance through a set of major initiatives and projects, including research contributions, social studies specialized in the dialogue of civilizations, and cultural tolerance through a set of different societal and cultural initiatives, and the introduction of legislation and policies aimed at promoting the values ​​of cultural, religious, and social tolerance, promoting the discourse of tolerance, and acceptance of the other. Expo 2020 Dubai concludes the Week of Tolerance tomorrow, after seven full days of the activities of the National Festival for Tolerance and Coexistence in a global session organized by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, where “Expo 2020 Dubai” hosted the largest part of the activities and initiatives, with the participation of the pavilions in the exhibition.


The international activities of the festival hosted 125 prominent international figures who presented a comprehensive and diverse vision of the future of global tolerance. About 4,000 school and university students participated in the festival’s programs, through 140 local, international, and student events. This year, the festival focused on youth, religions, women and universities issues.
