As of about 18:00 that day, the two countries had ceased fire in the border area, and the current situation is relatively stable.

  According to sources from the Afghan Ministry of National Defense, Armenian troops launched an offensive on the Kerbaja and Lachin areas on the Afghan border at about 11 o'clock that day, causing two Afghan soldiers to be injured.

The Arab side took countermeasures, captured the Asian soldiers and seized some weapons and equipment.

  The Armenian Ministry of National Defense issued a message on the same day, accusing Azerbaijan of using artillery, armored vehicles and weapons and equipment to take the lead in launching an offensive. In response, the Asian side destroyed some of the armored vehicles on the Afghan side, and the Azerbaijani side suffered personnel losses.

At the same time, 4 soldiers on the Asian side were injured and 12 soldiers were captured.

  Later that day, the Armenian Defense Ministry issued a statement stating that under Russian mediation, the two sides reached an agreement to cease fire from 18:30 that day.

The current situation is relatively stable.

  According to information published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu had a phone conversation with Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister Hasanov and Armenian Defense Minister Papikyan on the same day. The Russian side called on both sides to stop actions that may escalate the situation.

  Since the disintegration of the Soviet Union, the two countries of Aya and Aya have fought over the ownership of the Nagorno-Karabakh (Naka) region.

In 1994, the two sides reached an agreement on a comprehensive ceasefire, but the two countries have been in a state of hostility over the Naqqa issue, and armed conflicts have occurred from time to time.

In September 2020, a new round of conflict broke out between the two countries over the Naka issue.

On November 9th of the same year, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a statement announcing a complete ceasefire in the Naka region from 0:00 Moscow time on the 10th.
