“Two strategic missile carriers Tu-95MS of long-range aviation performed a planned flight in airspace over the neutral waters of the Bering, Chukchi and Okhotsk seas,” RIA Novosti reports.

It is noted that the fighter escort was provided by the crews of the Su-35S aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Eastern Military District.

The department said that the flight duration was about ten hours.

The Ministry of Defense noted that long-range aviation crews regularly fly over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Black and Baltic Seas, and the Pacific Ocean.

They emphasized that all flights of Russian Aerospace Forces aircraft are carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace.

At the end of October, it was reported that two Russian strategic missile carriers Tu-160 made an eight-hour flight over the Barents and Norwegian Seas.
