High-ranking official of the Moscow Emergency Situations Directorate sent under house arrest

“By the ruling of the Presnensky District Court of Moscow, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of house arrest in relation to VV Samarin, accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art.

290 of the Criminal Code of Russia (taking a bribe in a significant amount), for a period until January 18, 2022, ”the court said.

Earlier, the media, citing sources, reported that the first deputy head of the main directorate for Moscow, Andrei Mishchenko, and the head of one of the departments of the main directorate, Viktor Samarin, were suspected of bribery.
