On Thursday, the camp was emptied at the border crossing Kuznica-Bruzgi in Belarus, where migrants have been for several weeks, writes The Guardian.

Belarusian security forces then moved the migrants to a nearby warehouse - according to Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to "escape the deadly crisis" the migrants were in.

"All that remains are huts, remnants of tents, abandoned clothes and dying fires," writes Belarusian state media.

Polish border guards also confirm that the border crossing is now empty.

On Thursday, about 400 of the migrants were also put on a flight to Iraq, sent to Belarus by the Iraqi government.

13 people have lost their lives

According to Polish aid organizations, 13 people have died in the difficult conditions they were in. On Thursday, the youngest victim was reported - a one-year-old boy.

"We received a report about a person who needed help.

When we arrived at the scene, it turned out to be three injured people, they had been in the woods for a month and a half, "writes the aid organization PCPM on twitter.

The man had injured his arm and the woman had a stab wound to her leg.

Their one-year-old child died in the forest. "

Migrants stuck between countries

According to the migrants at the border, they have been tricked by Belarus with the promise of passage to Europe.

Once in place, they have not been able to cross the border into Poland or return to Belarus.

SVT has previously reported on how tourist agencies received direct instructions from the Belarusian government to meet migrants at the airport, accommodate them in hotels and escort them to the border.

But the allegations have always been rejected by Lukashenko.

Belarus's ambassador to Sweden, Dimitrij Mirontjik, has also called the allegations absurd.

- It is ironic and absurd to accuse Belarus of organizing illegal migrant flows, he says
