A man sentenced in the Allier for sexual assault on his niece

A 55-year-old man appeared this Thursday before the court of Cusset (Allier) for sexual assault committed on his niece, a minor at the time of the facts.

Between 2009 and 2012, he abused the girl from the age of six to nine.

A risk of recurrence

The fifty-year-old has always denied the facts with which he is accused.

During the hearing, he even accused his niece of lying.

But expertises have proven that the young girl had not made up a story.

On the other hand, the man has been described as "intellectually deficient", "manipulative and impulsive", report our colleagues.

He would even present a risk of recurrence.

He was therefore sentenced to three years in prison, with five years of socio-judicial monitoring.

The fifty-year-old will also have to pay more than 15,000 euros in damages to his niece, for the physical and psychological damage suffered.
