The Department of Education and Knowledge has identified eight conditions that nurseries in Abu Dhabi must adhere to, to ensure a healthy environment for children, as part of its keenness on the health and safety of children enrolled in nurseries.

The department stated on its website that the nurseries inspection model consists of two basic elements, including support and an inspection visit, to improve the quality of education and care provided in nurseries, noting the need for nurseries operators to ensure that the nursery building is safe and healthy at all times, and includes internal spaces. She added that the inspection and evaluation process for nurseries in Abu Dhabi is based on three stages, which were selected and identified to ensure the completion of the evaluation process according to the approved international standards. The first stage includes evaluation before inspection, the second stage is inspection, and the third stage is follow-up after inspection.

The department confirmed that there are eight conditions that nurseries in Abu Dhabi must adhere to, to ensure a healthy environment for children in nurseries, which includes taking all necessary precautions to prevent pollution and the spread of diseases, employing appropriate measures to deal with injuries and sick children, and taking preventive measures and health guidance, especially with regard to health areas. The child and his nutrition, the benefits of breastfeeding, the prevention of diseases and accidents, the harms of smoking, setting the necessary policies and programs in this regard, and taking the necessary measures to prevent and protect children from using narcotics, intoxicants and stimulants, and all kinds of psychotropic substances, or participating in their production, trafficking in them, or promote it.
