It has now been just over a year since Wissem Messaoudi was murdered in broad daylight in Valsta.

When SVT meets the family, the son is present in photographs, and the wounds are far from healed.

The case is special, as several pieces of evidence indicated that it should be clarified.

But in September, the Svea Court of Appeal acquitted the suspect, as the evidence did not hold.

The Public Prosecutor has now applied for leave to appeal to the Supreme Court to try the case, and a decision has not yet been received.

The Messaoudi family is still alive in the hope that a perpetrator will be convicted.

Hear the family talk about the grief of the deceased son in the clip at the top of the article.
