USFK has started vaccinating children of its military and military personnel's families with the COVID-19 vaccine.

U.S. Forces Korea (USFK) announced that starting yesterday (17th), the Pfizer vaccine began to be administered to children aged 5-11.

Vaccination sites are military medical facilities located at USFK Base Pyeongtaek (Camp Humphreys), Daegu Base (Camp Walker), and Osan Air Base.

The Pfizer vaccine for USFK children's vaccination arrived by air through Incheon International Airport on the 15th and was transferred to the USFK Medical Supplies Center in Camp Carroll, Chilgok, Gyeongbuk.

Children aged 5 to 11 years of age in USFK families are given two doses of 10 micrograms (micrograms) of the vaccine, one-third the adult dose, three weeks apart.

The USFK command said, "Vaccination against COVID-19 is not compulsory for military families, but it is strongly recommended that everyone be vaccinated as much as possible."

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 5-11 on the 2nd.
