Light show shuts down Malmö Park during the winter - the municipality does not rent a penny

- We hope we get 50,000-70,000 visitors, says Niclas Johansson, CEO of MK Illumination.

On Saturday, the light show opens for visitors.

Admission costs around SEK 200, even for children over 13 years of age.

Families with two children under the age of 13 must pay SEK 500.

- Everything we do is large-scale.

Free rent

The company does not have to pay a penny to the city of Malmö for the approximately 30,000 square meters of Slottsparken that the company has been granted permission to use until 23 January.

- Malmö wants to be a city that you visit during this period.

This type of event definitely helps, says Niclas Johansson, who has budgeted around SEK 10 million in ticket revenue.
