"The court ruled on the selection of a preventive measure in the form of taking into custody in relation to Alexei Generalov, accused of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of Russia," the press service of the St. Petersburg Courts said.
Generalov fully admitted his guilt.
He will be in custody until January 15, 2022.
As it turned out, Generalov deliberately killed his father out of personal animosity.
Earlier, a criminal case was opened in St. Petersburg under the article on murder after the discovery of a bag with body parts of an unknown man on the embankment of the Smolenka River in the Vasileostrovsky district.
