On the afternoon of November 18, the website of the Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision issued two notices: Yang Yiwen, secretary of the Changde Municipal Party Committee, was suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision and investigation by the Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection; Deputy Party Committee of the Changsha Municipal Public Security Bureau The secretary and deputy director Li Xiangjiang is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law. The Paper (www.thepaper.cn) reporter learned from several local people familiar with the matter in Hunan that Yang Yiwen and Li Xiangjiang are married to each other.
According to the official resume, Yang Yiwen, male, Han nationality, was born in July 1966 in Miluo, Hunan. He started working in August 1987 and joined the Communist Party of China in June 1991.
He has worked in Changsha for a long time. He has served as the county magistrate of Changsha County since October 2007, the director of the Changsha Economic Development Zone Management Committee and the county head of Changsha County since February 2008, and the Changsha Economic Development Zone administrator since January 2009. Director of the Committee and Secretary of the Changsha County Party Committee. Since July 2009, he has been the Secretary of the Party Working Committee of Changsha Economic Development Zone and Secretary of the Changsha County Party Committee.
From March 2016 to April 2021, Yang Yiwen successively served as Deputy Secretary, Acting Mayor, and Mayor of Loudi Municipal Party Committee, and served as Secretary of the Changde Municipal Party Committee in April 2021 until this report was investigated.
Li Xiangjiang, female, Han nationality, was born in December 1965 in Liuyang, Hunan. She joined the Communist Party of China in October 1986 and started working in September 1987.
During Yang Yiwen's tenure in Changsha, Li Xiangjiang climbed up the ranks of the Changsha City Public Security System. From July 2006 to June 2020, he served as a member of the Party Committee, Director of the Political Department, Party Committee Member, and Deputy Director of the Changsha City Public Security Bureau.
In June 2020, she was appointed Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Changsha Public Security Bureau.
It is worth mentioning that the official notification pointed out that Li Xiangjiang was designated by the Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and is undergoing disciplinary review and supervision and investigation by the Changde Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection.
In fact, the situation of corrupt "husband and wife files" is not uncommon among cadres who are deprived of horses, and there are many examples of both of them serving as officials.
