The Bundestag voted on Thursday for a reform of the Infection Protection Act in order to continue to make corona protective measures possible.

In return, the previous corona emergency will not be extended.

688 MPs took part in the roll-call vote.

398 parliamentarians voted for the new regulation, 254 were against.

There were 36 abstentions.

The three traffic light parties SPD, Greens and FDP had campaigned for the draft law, the Union parliamentary group opposed it and campaigned for the corona emergency to be extended.
