China News Service, Beijing, November 18 (Reporter Chen Su) The reporter learned from the China Meteorological Administration on the 18th that a strong cold air will affect most of China, and the temperature in many places will drop by more than 12 ℃.

The latest forecast from the Central Meteorological Observatory on the 18th shows that a strong cold air will affect most of China from west to east from 19 to 22.

This cold air process has the characteristics of wide range of influence, low minimum temperature, and strong wind on land and sea. The range of influence is basically similar to the cold wave weather process at the beginning of this month.

It is expected that on the 19th, the cold air will mainly affect the northern part of Xinjiang. On the 20th, the cold air will advance eastward. There will be strong winds in the central and eastern parts of the northwestern region and the western part of Inner Mongolia.

Affected by this, the temperature in parts of the northwest and the central and eastern regions will drop by 6℃~10℃. Among them, the temperature will drop by 12℃~14℃ in western Inner Mongolia, western Shanxi, eastern Huanghuai, central and eastern Jianghuai, northern Jiangnan and southwestern China.

Most of the above areas are accompanied by northerly winds of magnitude 4 to 6, and gusts of magnitude 7 to 9 in central and western Inner Mongolia, northern North China, and eastern Northeast China.

There will be strong winds of magnitude 7 to 9 and gusts of magnitude 10 in the eastern and southern waters of China.

After the temperature drop, on the morning of the 23rd, the 0℃ line of the lowest temperature will press south from the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to the northern part of the Sichuan Basin; the 10℃ line is located in the southern part of South China.

The lowest temperature in the Beijing Plain can drop to about -3°C to -6°C.

In terms of precipitation, the impacts of rain and snow in this cold air process are mainly concentrated in Xinjiang and northeastern regions. There will be light to moderate snow or sleet in northern Xinjiang, eastern Inner Mongolia and northeastern regions, and heavy snow in parts of northern Xinjiang, Heilongjiang and eastern Jilin. , The cumulative snowfall is 5-20 mm, and the local area of northeastern Heilongjiang is about 30 mm.

There was light to moderate rain in Huanghuai and most of its south.

Meteorological experts reminded that the cold air process has the characteristics of wide impact, low minimum temperature, and strong wind on land and sea. It is recommended that the public in coal-fired heating areas pay attention to the safety of using fire for heating and prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.

At the same time, strong wind cooling is unfavorable to epidemic prevention and control, urban operation, and agriculture and animal husbandry. It is necessary to make wind-proof reinforcement for large sheds, livestock pens and temporary structures in advance, and strengthen the prevention of respiratory diseases and health and epidemic prevention.

The eastern and southern sea areas need to guard against the adverse effects of high winds on maritime traffic and operations.

Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and Northeast China need to pay attention to the adverse effects of wet and slippery roads, snow and icing caused by rain and snow weather on traffic travel, and pay attention to traffic safety.
