The Swedish Public Health Agency states that it closely follows developments in the outside world.

- We look at our surroundings and see that countries that have a similar social structure, corresponding to vaccination coverage, have had a fairly sharp increase.

Some countries have also had a relatively high impact on health care.

We see no reason why we in Sweden should not be affected in the same way, says Karin Tegmark Wisell.

- We can expect a contagion peak in mid-December

How will we see this despite the fact that Sweden has a fairly high vaccination coverage?

- Now it is the delta variant and it is difficult to stop fully.

She explains that the delta variant of the coronavirus has been responsible for the spread of infection in Sweden since mid-summer and in principle constitutes all cases found.

It has an increased infectivity.

Therefore, the authority does not rule out the introduction of telework in Sweden again.

- Working at home is a tool we have used before that reduces mobility very powerfully in society.

But we are not there now, says CEO Karin Tegmark Wisell.
