Should they really stop Sweden's first female prime minister?

This is how the argument has partly sounded from several heavy S and MP profiles recently.

But using Magdalena Andersson's gender as a way to put pressure on the Center Party and the Left Party, which must tolerate the Social Democratic party leader in order for her to become prime minister, is frustrating.

Paula Bieler, formerly one of the Sweden Democrats' most famous profiles, is one of those who gets cursed.

- It was quite a long time since we opened up to women in politics, and we are also very good at being proud of what an equal country we are.

Therefore, I think it is sad that the campaign is being run in earnest that she must become prime minister because she is a woman instead of what her skills are, says Paula Bieler in the Politburo.

"I'm upset"

What do you think about this?

- I get upset when you try to put pressure on Annie Lööf and Nooshi Dadgostar and say that "now you have to vote for her because she is a woman" and have some kind of sisterhood compulsion.

That it would be awful not to vote yes to the first female Prime Minister.

It is reduced against Lööf and Dadgostar and not least against Andersson.

If I were in her position, I would be pissed, I want to be chosen for my skills.

Why do you think this argument is put forward then?

- You can ask them that, but I think it's completely idiotic.

But it's a pressure you get and it is clear that if you target parties that have often done something of that kind of feminism, you might think that it will get spin.

"Do not think gender matters"

Would SD be ready for a woman in the party leadership position?

- Yes, as I said, I do not think that gender matters.

Then it is actually a bit interesting for the Sweden Democrats have actually had a woman at the top as well, says Paula Bieler and adds:

- In the party's early childhood, they had two spokespersons at the same time for a while and then one of them was a woman.

But it was in the early 90's so it was a long time ago, and a completely different party.
