  In the abuse case of Zhu Moumou and Xu Moumou, Zhu Mojia (9 years old at the time of the incident) was the daughter of Zhu Moumou and others born out of wedlock.

Since 2018, the defendant Zhu Moumou and his cohabiting girlfriend Xu Moumou have often beaten Zhu Mojia by pinching, beating, etc. due to family trivial matters and learning problems.

In October 2019, Zhu used a club and a fishing rod bracket twice to hit Zhu Jia's left calf and injured. Later, due to delay in treatment, the wound was ulcerated and infected.

On May 12, 2020, Zhu Moumou and Xu Moumou were prosecuted by the People’s Procuratorate of Ganyu District, Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province on suspicion of abuse, and were subsequently sentenced to 10 months and 6 months imprisonment respectively, both of which apply probation.

  Considering that the case was a crime caused by improper discipline, the procuratorial organ, in conjunction with the Women’s Federation and the Commission for Working Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, initiated the work of family education and guidance; continued to track the status of family guardianship and consolidate the effectiveness of family education and guidance.

After 4 months of educational supervision and guidance, the parent-child relationship of Zhu Mojia's family has been significantly improved. Zhu Moumou and Xu Moumou signed the "Guardianship Commitment", and family life returned to normal.

In addition, the local procuratorate, the Women's Federation, and the Customs Working Committee have established a normalized mechanism to prevent minors from suffering domestic violence at the source.
