Three days after the defeat in the legislative elections and the loss of the majority in Parliament, Argentinian President Alberto Fernández offered a large demonstration of support on Wednesday, November 17 in Buenos Aires.

The opportunity for the Peronists to forget their electoral rout by demonstrating their unity and their capacity for mobilization.

The Place de Mai and the surrounding avenues were packed on Wednesday in Buenos Aires.

Flags, music, fireworks, and more than 100,000 people came to celebrate the day of activism.

And not only, explains law student Mariano Barniero:

We came to celebrate this day, but also to show our support for the government of Alberto Fernández, Cristina Kirchner and Frente de Todos.

Important support, three days after the defeat of the Peronists in the legislative elections, and also a celebration of the unity of the Frente de Todos despite the electoral setback, according to this activist.

After Sunday's election, we showed that the Peronists are all on the same line to turn the country around.

Around 5 p.m., Alberto Fernández arrives at the podium.

Economy, growth, jobs, the president's speech is almost that of a candidate, and marks his desire to turn the page on the pandemic to give new impetus to his mandate.

We have two years left!

And during these two years, I will complete each of the goals I set for myself!

Despite this show of force, the Argentine president knows that the loss of his parliamentary majority in the elections on Sunday will force him to deal with the opposition until the end of his term.
