This is reported by the Axios portal, citing sources in the United States and Israel.

As noted, the US Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan raised the relevant issue in a conversation with Israel's National Security Advisor Eyal Khulata.

According to the portal, this discussion is only preliminary.

According to Axios sources, the idea is to offer Iran to suspend its nuclear activities in exchange for unfreezing part of Iranian assets or providing exemptions from sanctions on food products.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said that Washington needs to actually show its intentions to revise the sanctions policy against Tehran in order to make progress on restoring the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on the nuclear program.
