The Deputy Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement in Yemen, Daniela Kroslak, explained that the joint forces withdrew from areas of the city without the mission's knowledge, while coalition raids continue on Marib and Al-Bayda.

Kroslak - Deputy Head of the United Nations Mission to Support the Hodeidah Agreement in Yemen (UNMHA) said that the mission entered into a discussion with the two parties to the conflict in the governorate, in order to implement the Stockholm Agreement, revealing in the same context that 900 families have been displaced due to the recent events in Hodeidah.

On Friday, the Houthis took control of villages and districts in large areas south of the coastal city of Hodeidah, which was included in a ceasefire concluded in 2018, the day after the abrupt withdrawal of loyal forces from it.

The city, which includes a port that is considered a lifeline for millions of people, has been under the control of the Houthis for years, but government forces were deployed in its vicinity from the southern and part of the eastern side until they retreated tens of kilometers.

In a parallel context, the Saudi-led coalition announced the implementation of 27 targeting operations against the Houthis in Marib and Al-Bayda during the past 24 hours, leaving, according to reports, more than 130 Houthi fighters.

The coalition said that it carried out four targeting operations on the western coast to support the Yemeni government forces there, outside the areas stipulated in the Stockholm Agreement.
