The United Arab Emirates and the UAE have announced that they plan to purchase South Korea-made medium-range surface-to-air missiles, the M-SAM.
The UAE Ministry of Defense announced on Twitter, "We plan to bring in M-SAM, the South Korean air defense system, and the contract is worth $3.5 billion, worth 4.1 trillion won in our money."
M-SAM is known as a ballistic missile interception missile developed by a domestic defense company under the leadership of the Defense Science Research Institute.
