"The exchange of views on the migration crisis at the borders of Belarus with the EU countries continued, taking into account the previous telephone conversation of Alexander Lukashenko with the acting Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel," the statement posted on the Kremlin's website says.

Earlier, Lukashenko and the interim Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, held a telephone conversation, during which they discussed the migration crisis.

On November 10, in a conversation with Merkel, Putin proposed to establish a discussion of the problem of the migration crisis in the contacts of the EU member states with Belarus.
