The Stellantis plant (formerly PSA) in Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) will constitute in January a second team for the production of the new Peugeot 308. In total, 850 employees will be mobilized for the manufacture of the model, including 750 temporary workers.
The implementation will begin on January 3 for a gradual increase in activity.
Stellantis Mulhouse had scheduled the start of this second daytime work shift for the end of August.
It had then deferred it because of the shortage of semiconductors and the uncertainties it generates for the automotive industry.
The new team will double the production of Stellantis Mulhouse, bringing it to 700 vehicles per day.
Good news for the site, which saw its production drop from 230,000 vehicles in 2019 to 50,000 last year.
