The world's most famous football coach, Pep Guardiola, who is currently leading the Manchester City football team, surprised his fans during his presence at Expo 2020 Dubai, as part of a tour of some of the pavilions, and his visit around the international event.
The Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of “Expo 2020 Dubai”, Reem Al-Hashemi, welcomed coach Guardiola, as one of the most famous football coaches in history, and the CEO of Manchester City Club, Ferran Soriano, and a delegation of CEOs at City Football Group. .
The UAE pavilion was the first stop in the visit of the City Football Group delegation at Expo 2020, in order to get to know the traditions and culture of the host country better, before moving quickly to the United Kingdom pavilion.
Guardiola and Soriano participated in a question-and-answer session with invited guests, as Manchester City are the current champions of the English Premier League.
At the end of the session, Guardiola and Soriano went to the Sports and Fitness Center at Expo 2020, to watch the training sessions for the City Football Schools, and meet some of the young players.
Guardiola, who won eight notable trophies in just over five years at Manchester City, had the opportunity to reveal his opinion of Expo 2020.
Guardiola said: “It has been a wonderful experience to witness the energy of grassroots football here at Expo 2020 Dubai, and to see the way the club communicates with people around the world, the enthusiasm shown by the next generation of aspiring players towards The game is amazing.”
"I was really happy to watch the children playing, and I hope that some of them will have the opportunity to train them in Manchester in the future," he added.

The club and the international event worked closely together, with Manchester City players wearing Expo 2020 branded training shirts during the (2021/22) season.
