In France, between 7 and 10,000 minors are prostituted.

They are mainly girls between the ages of 15 and 17.

“

50% enter prostitution at 14 years old and that concerns all social circles,

specifies Adrien Taquet, Secretary of State for Children.

The other constant noticed at 70%, even 80%, tell us the professionals, are phenomena of sexual violence suffered in childhood or of severe bullying at school.

"

A runaway, a bad meeting or even intimate photos that fall into the wrong hands can lead these young people into the cycle.

In addition, the latter often have a degraded image of the female body due to pornography.

Problem, they do not see themselves as victims.

They feel like they are the masters of their lives and take pride in making money.

More prevention and digital raids

Nina, a former prostitute, did not always find the help she needed. "

It happened to me that a policeman said to me,

'But I don't understand why a girl like you can fall in there. What's wrong? You have wonderful parents. You have some luck. 'love around you. "

Easy money and dating made me leave and scared to fight. We believe more in love. We believe more in our body, we listen to it more. And we no longer believe in this life

For the young girl, the training of the police is essential as is prevention from middle school.

The government's plan also provides for digital marauding and more resources for associations.

France also wants to force accommodation rental platforms to cooperate better with the courts.

For Armelle Le Bigot Macaux, president of Act against child prostitution, we must concentrate resources on prevention.

Once you get into prostitution, it's very hard to get out of it, because it's an addiction, she explains.

Armelle Le Bigot Macaux (Acting against child prostitution): "At those ages, we are so fragile, that we dive back into it"
