Deputy Representative to the UN declared Russia's readiness to facilitate dialogue between the EU and Belarus

The diplomat noted that Russia proceeds from the fact that the EU should abandon double standards in resolving the problem with migrants and be held accountable for its actions.

Evstigneeva also stated that the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border can be resolved only by entering into an equal dialogue with Belarus.

"If Brussels is ready for this, then we are ready to contribute to this," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

Earlier, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei and the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell discussed the migration crisis on the border of Belarus with the EU countries.
