Yesterday, the Emirati Competitiveness Council (Nafes) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy, the Human Resources Authority, and Mubadala Investment Company (Mubadala), to start the next phase of the national recruitment agenda designed to enhance the continued employment of Emirati cadres in the financial sector, at the federal levels. and local in the state.

According to the Abu Dhabi Government Media Office, the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy, in cooperation with partner agencies, will provide more than 1,000 jobs in the financial sector in Abu Dhabi, and launch the first employment center in the field of financial services, in addition to initiatives to develop skills and develop talent, through the Nafees program. Which the government put forward as part of the "50 projects", with the aim of accelerating the development journey in the country and enhancing its economy, by increasing the competitiveness of Emirati human resources, enabling them to take jobs in the private sector, and providing training and development programs to hone the skills of nationals looking for work, and qualify them to support their integration into the private sector , especially sectors of specific strategic priority.

The media office stated that the parties participating in the memorandum of understanding will work to develop a comprehensive employment plan that reflects the structure of the Nafes program and areas of focus, in addition to defining the obligations and responsibilities of the participating parties, and the number of targeted jobs in the private sector.

The Secretary-General of the Emirati Competitiveness Council, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, stressed that the memorandum of understanding aims to emphasize strategic cooperation to unify efforts aimed at launching multiple programs that will provide opportunities to employ Emiratis, and enable them to possess the skills and competencies necessary to meet the needs of companies in the private sector through the Competence Program. Which is one of several Nafes programs to raise the level of competitiveness of Emirati cadres in the private sector.

Al Mazrouei said that these programs will focus on a blended educational approach, combining basic skills, internationally recognized specialized qualifications, on-the-job training, and guidance and counseling, with the aim of providing the country's citizens with the necessary support to obtain employment opportunities.

He explained that the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy, which is distinguished by its rich track record of skills enhancement programs, was chosen to be among the partners to support the "Nafis" program in creating the appropriate enabling environment to prepare the workforce for future challenges, provide a promising future for the working segment of citizens, support the private sector, and achieve additional value. .

While the Human Resources Authority and the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy announced a plan to launch the first financial jobs center in the region, as one of the strategic initiatives of the Human Resources Authority to provide services to support Emirati youth to enter the labor market, and to develop an integrated journey of innovative services and mechanisms, to raise their participation in the labor market through Providing professional and career guidance services, and designing training and job rehabilitation plans, and this comes within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Human Resources Authority, the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy, and other employers to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Acting Director-General of the Human Resources Authority, Amal Al-Jabri, affirmed the authority's keenness to keep pace with the rapid developments witnessed by the labor market within its plans and projects, and to meet the needs of the various economic sectors of national manpower and qualified to assume various specialized jobs, in order to serve the objectives of Emiratisation in the emirate.
