Iceland released a promotional video last Thursday to encourage tourists to visit Ice Country.

For the sake of humor, Iceland decided to take inspiration from and parody the Metaverse presentation video released on October 28 by Mark Zuckerberg, reports

The Huffington Post

.

In this hour-long show, the founder and CEO of Facebook introduced Meta, the new name of his company.

He also presented his vision of the concept: a mix between virtual reality and augmented reality where to work, meet people and even play will be possible.

Some said an open-world experience this immersive wasn't possible.

But it's already here.

And you don't even need silly VR headsets.

Over three million views on Twitter

It is therefore from this video that Iceland was inspired to address tourists.

In this two-minute program, entitled The Icelandverse, the land of ice creams, uses all the codes of the video proposed by Mark Zuckerberg.

Even the main actor is a double of the founder of Facebook.

The latter wears the same outfit, the same gestures ... The place and the arguments are also similar.

With this video, Iceland hopes to make tourists want to come and visit the island in the real world with a touch of humor: “It's completely immersive, with water that is wet.

With humans with whom they meet ”.

The images have been viewed over 3.6 million times on Twitter.
