British police reveal the identity of those responsible for the Liverpool explosion

British police said on Monday that the man behind the explosion of a taxi in Liverpool, which authorities described as a terrorist incident, was 32-year-old Emad Al-Swailem.

"Our investigations are ongoing, but we strongly believe at this point that the deceased is 32-year-old Emad Al-Swelmin," Andrew Mix, Chief Detective at Greater Manchester Police, said in a statement.

He added: "Al-Sweilemn is linked to two addresses on Rutland and Sutcliffe Streets where searches are still ongoing."
