Expo 2020 contributed to the reunification of two friends from Australia after a six-year absence, after (Khaleda) traveled to work in Dubai, and distanced herself from her close friend (Rihanna), while the latter decided to kill two birds with one stone when she decided to travel to Dubai to attend the event. (Khaleda) told «Emirates Today» that she has been working in Dubai for six years, noting that she is in constant contact with her friend (Rihanna), despite their busy work.
She added: "I suggested more than once to my friend that she visit Dubai and meet together, but because of her preoccupation, she was facing difficulties in coming to the Emirates."
And she continued, "When (Rihanna) learned that (Expo 2020) will be held in Dubai, she revealed to me her desire not to miss the occasion of attending this wonderful global event, in addition to being an opportunity for us to meet, and she raised this idea last year, but the Corona virus pandemic The new developments and the postponement of the exhibition contributed to the postponement of the idea of her travel.”
Khaleda, who toured with her friend among the many pavilions in the exhibition, led by the Australian pavilion, said that she enjoyed her first visit to “Expo 2020”: “Just as I used to in Dubai that everything here is done in the best way, so it was not A surprise for me is what I saw at (Expo 2020), as everything runs like clockwise with regularity and precision.”
For her part, (Rihanna) feels very happy, finally, after she got the opportunity to travel to Dubai, and meet her close friend (Khaleda), adding: “This is an irreplaceable opportunity for me, as I communicate with (Khaleda) permanently through social media. She added, "I have known for a long time that (Expo 2020) will be held in Dubai, and I was already planning to travel to the Emirates last year, but the repercussions of the (Covid-19) pandemic contributed to postponing the idea of travel until this year, and frankly, I was surprised by the wonderful organization and ways to combat the Corona virus. And the perfect precautionary measures from the moment I arrived at Dubai Airport, and in all the different places and facilities I have visited so far.”
Regarding Expo 2020, Rihanna confirmed: “There are no words to describe the splendor of this global event, as I live in an extraordinary state of fascination, especially that the architectural designs are executed with great precision and beauty, and I think we are watching what can happen in the future, and what A person must do it in the coming years, so that he gets a better chance of living in all aspects.”
And she continued, "I will not miss the opportunity to visit the most prominent tourist attractions in Dubai and the UAE in general, but without a doubt I will visit the Burj Khalifa, Ain Dubai, the Dubai Frame, and the wonderful shopping centers here, most notably the Dubai Mall."
