One ship was on its way to Uddevalla and the other from the city when they collided in a narrow passage.

According to the Coast Guard, however, there should be no damage below the waterline.

- They float as they should and we are now cooperating with the Swedish Transport Agency to control the ship which is in Uddevalla.

The second we have asked to anchor outside Stenungsund, says Christian Carlsson.

Must be checked

Interrogations will now be held with the officers on the boats and the Swedish Transport Agency will decide whether the ships are seaworthy before it may be relevant for them to continue the journey.

How long it will take is currently unclear.

- It depends on what emerges in the interrogations and what our investigations show, says Christian Carlsson at the Coast Guard.

A preliminary investigation into negligence in maritime traffic has been established.
