José Luis Martínez-Almeida, mayor of Madrid, has been this weekend in the

Aragonese Pyrenees,

as he himself has published on Instagram with several images accompanied by the following text: "Loading batteries #disconnecting #pyrenees #amigos".

In them, he is seen with friends, lying on his backpack and surrounded by mountains or drinking water to regain strength in another place.

Almeida

has spent a few days in the town of Boltaña from Huesca,

where he has enjoyed a short break, has taken an excursion and has also gotten acquainted with the residents of the area.

José María Giménez, mayor of Boltaña, after having been with him, has declared to the

Diario del Alto Aragón

that "he is very close" and that during the time they were together, "he was interested in the life of the region and the political situation and economic area ".

Likewise, he has detailed that

"he was very accessible to everyone

and to all those who asked him for a photo he said yes."

Almeida in the Huesca town of Alquézar.

Almeida told him that it was not the first time he had visited the Pyrenees and that "due to the dedication that the Mayor's Office requires of him, he does not come as much as he would like."

The Madrid mayor was staying in Boltaña, he visited the town, as well as the medieval town of Aínsa and, in addition, on Saturday he made an excursion to Torla and Bujaruelo ", at the entrance to the Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park

During the meeting between the two councilors, Giménez gave him a bag with a Boltaña shirt, the latest album by the folk group La Ronda de Boltaña and information on the area, "some gifts on which" I hope to see you wearing it and that on your next visit Tell me if you liked the songs of the Round ".

The walkway route

On Sunday José Luis Martínez Almeida launched the Route of the Catwalks on his

first visit to the Huesca town of Alquézar

and was "very surprised by the cleanliness and conservation" of the natural space, as reported by the mayor of the town, Mariano Altemir.

During the visit, he took the opportunity to get to know the town and, according to Altemir,

"he has been interested in everything related to the town that he has traveled without haste

and when I told him that I have been mayor for 30 years, he told me that it has a lot of merit to be in the front row without the legion of advisers that it has in Madrid ".

Almeida has highlighted "the atmosphere of harmony and tranquility that is breathed in Alquézar and the excellent conservation of the town".

Altemir has told him about the Somontano region, the rock art heritage of the Río Vero Cultural Park that is turning 20, about the Somontano PDO wineries and the oil, from which he has taken a bottle of the Alquezarana variety that he did not know .

Regarding personal treatment, the mayor said that Almeida "is very close, pleasant and simple. He has told me that he will return to enjoy the tranquility of the town."
