China News Service, Fuzhou, November 14 (Reporter Long Min) A 4.8-magnitude earthquake occurred in the waters of Taiwan's Yilan County on the evening of the 14th. The earthquake was felt in many places along the coast of Fujian.

  According to the official measurement of China Earthquake Networks, a magnitude 4.8 earthquake occurred in the waters of Yilan County, Taiwan (24.58 degrees north latitude, 122.02 degrees east longitude) at 21:05 on November 14 with a focal depth of 50 kilometers.

  After the earthquake, people in the coastal areas of Fujian, including Fuzhou, Quanzhou, and Xiamen, reported feeling the quake.

According to the information service provided by the Fujian Provincial Seismological Bureau, the Gulou District of Fuzhou City, where the reporter is located, is about 310 kilometers away from the epicenter, and a slight tremor can be felt.

  Chen Xing, a citizen of Quanzhou, told a reporter from China News Agency that he was watching TV at home and the tremor caused the chandelier in the living room to shake obviously.
