“Education”: The work methodology for the next 50 years targets competitiveness in the skills of the future

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Academic Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Mualla, said that the work methodology for the next 50 years in the education sector will focus on building a high-quality education system that ensures competitiveness in the early childhood stage, and an innovative global educational system that enhances future skills.

This came during his speech at the opening of the World Education Forum and the 14th Global Exhibition for Education Supplies and Solutions under the slogan "Today's Creativity.. Tomorrow's Opportunities", which started yesterday in Dubai, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President UAE Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

Al Mualla added that the work methodology for the next 50 years in education will focus on aligning higher education outcomes with the needs of the future labor market, an advanced and flexible national qualifications system that keeps pace with the requirements of future economic development, as well as a sustainable service system for people of determination, starting from early detection to future leadership. A holistic, proactive talent nurturing system that stimulates productivity, competitiveness, and ultimately sustainable well-being and quality of life in learning environments.

He stressed that the Global Exhibition for Education Supplies and Solutions constitutes an exceptional renewed opportunity to discuss contemporary and emerging educational issues, and to build on the educational achievements embodied, after a difficult period the world went through as a result of the Corona pandemic, which cast a shadow over several sectors, including education, which called for the world's cooperation and solidarity. In order to overcome this ordeal, and to rely on smart solutions and education technology to continue the learning journey.

Al Mualla pointed out that the UAE's forward-looking vision for the future for the next fifty years is through entering a new phase of construction and development, where education is an essential pillar for entering the future, achieving sustainable development and transitioning to a knowledge economy.

The forum and exhibition are a platform for meeting officials, educators, workers and those interested in the education sector, and to learn about the latest products and modern solutions that meet the needs of the classroom.

On the other hand, an itinerant ambassador for education at the Ministry of Education and Research in Estonia, Birgit Liu, presented a session entitled "Quality of Life in Times of Hybrid Education", in which she spoke about the unexpected changes that faced education, especially teachers and students during the "Covid-19" pandemic, and touched upon Estonia experience in this aspect.

In the second session, titled “Technology and Talent Shaping the Future of Education,” Dr. Petarstoyanov, founder and managing partner of Ibtikar, spoke about technological challenges and foreseeing the future, stressing that the world has a legacy of innovation, education and technological development through astronomy and stars.
