• Pedro Sánchez and Pablo Casado are covered with insults in Congress before signing the distribution of the Constitutional Court

Pedro Sánchez has completely bypassed the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, at the opening of the congress that the Madrid socialists are holding this weekend in Madrid to rebuild after the electoral debacle in May.

The President of the

Government

has not made a reference to the Madrid leader who struck the political board six months ago and achieved an important result for his party, which now governs the Community of Madrid alone, in addition to pushing the PSOE to its worst historical percentage of votes in the region, below 17%.

Pedro Sánchez, contrary to what he had done in recent months, has preferred to focus on Pablo Casado, on the national PP and on his bad forecasts for Spain.

The socialist leader has assured that "if there is something bankrupt" today in Spain it is "the sense of state of the opposition."

"Is Spain recovering or is it bankrupt?", He asked more than 600 delegates, "Spain is getting better," he said emphatically, "and I guarantee that next year Spain will be even better than today; something that is bankrupt is the sense of Spain and the sense of state of the opposition ".

The secretary general of the

PSOE

has contrasted his policies with those launched by the PP after the 2008 crisis when "neoliberal policies destroyed four million jobs."

And it has valued social democracy as the ideology that is pulling Spain out of the coronavirus pandemic, thanks especially to the "success" of the vaccination strategy.

"The policies that we are implementing are an efficient response from the economic point of view," he claimed.

In addition, he added that it is "social democracy" that does not forget who it serves and has celebrated the victories of European socialist leaders in countries such as

Germany

,

Portugal

or

Italy

.

As he has done in recent weeks, Sánchez has taken his chest for the policies of the Executive during the months of the pandemic: "We govern to implement a Minimum Vital Income to combat child poverty, to revalue pensions, to have a law of housing to ensure that young people can become independent, to guarantee social rights ".

On the other side, he asserted, "the right and the extreme right have put their particular interests before the general interests of defense of public health and the lives of citizens."
