Countries around the world have agreed on measures to prevent the climate crisis, including phasing out coal use.

Alok Sharma, chairman of the 26th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP26), said at a meeting on the 13th (local time) that an agreement was reached on measures to tackle climate change.

About 200 participating countries negotiated measures to respond to climate change for about two weeks from the 31st of last month.

However, as the positions of each country were sharply divided, the negotiations proceeded one more day than originally scheduled.

Finally, at the last minute, at the request of India, the coal-related text was changed from phase out to phase down, and the agreement was passed.
