On November 11, we were told that Torsten Zakarisson would be forced to sell the house to pay the debt.

When Torsten ended up unemployed, he found it difficult to pay the bills and his application for maintenance support was rejected.

The social administration urged him to "move to another municipality" - and gave Torsten the message that the electricity and heat would be cut off.

Many want to help

Torsten Zakariasson is grateful and touches on all the support he has received from many different sources:

- There has been a huge support from people on Facebook and voluntary aid organizations, for example Helping Angels in Älvsbyn who started a fundraiser for us.

They want to make sure we make it next month as well.

Turned

The head of the social administration, Håkan Dahlqvist in Kiruna, is on holiday and has thus not explained why the municipality has turned to SVT Nyheter Norrbotten on the issue of maintenance support.

Hear Torsten Zakariasson talk about the message that now allows him and his wife to stay.
