- We protect our countryside and think that these are very large areas and that it affects people who live there too much, Jeansson (S) says to SVT.

It was after a member meeting of Finspång's Social Democrats that the decision was made to say no.

Whether the municipality will use its municipal veto depends on how Holmen acts, says Jeansson (S).

If Holmen continues to pursue the current application, the municipality will exercise its right to a municipal veto, according to Jeansson (S).

Holmen recently submitted its formal application to build wind turbines in the area between Finspång and Norrköping.

From the beginning, these were 77 works in three different areas.

When the application was submitted at the end of October, it applied to 32 wind turbines distributed over 14 plants in the Högsjö area in Finspång municipality and 18 plants in the Klintaberget area in Norrköping municipality.

According to Ulrika Jeansson (S), the municipality of Finspång has not commented before because they wanted to wait for the formal application.

She says that often the first plans differ very much from what actually becomes relevant in an application.
